Description: Cathedral Gorge State Park — about 80 miles south of Great Basin National Park in eastern Nevada and 80 miles west of Cedar City, Utah. Cathedral Gorge was formed by lake that dried up many years ago and wind and rain carved out the canyon. It is a little out of the way but well worth a detour. I took this photo on a snowy, cold day in October 2008.
