Description: Picture of the 1930s: Emmanuel Mounier (1905–1950) was a French philosopher. In 1932 he was founder and director of Esprit magazine, the organ of the French Personalist movement. As founder of the exchange association Comité français d'échanges avec l'Allemagne nouvelle in 1948 he was able to influence the German-French politics in the 1950s and 1960s.
