Description: Elaeocarpus angustifolius One of the many Australian native plants growing on the site of the Woodford Folk Festival. About the size of a cherry, the fruit is edible, but perhaps an acquired taste, and consists mainly of seed. The textured seed, on the other hand, may be used for necklaces or Chinese checkers, and has a religious significance in Asian countries!
