Founded ADMCCCCL by Isabella Countess of Lennox and Duchess of Albany. Its original position was on the site now occupied by the central railway station from which place it was removed in ADMDCCCL to a site in Church Street and again in MDCCCCVII this sole remnant of a once extensive pile was removed to its present position.
