Description: Size comparison between the tyrannossuroid dinosaur Dilong paradoxus and a human. 1. Size of the D. paradous holotype (IVPP V14243). Fusion of skeletal bones are evident in this IVPP V14243, leading to the conclusion that it "is not an adult but may approach the maturity".[1]. 2. hypothetic size of an adult: in addition to the subadult Dilong holotype (IVPP V14243), an additional specimen (IVPP V11579) are also known. IVPP V11579 are subequal in size to the holotype, but are of "an earlier ontogenetic stage". Though IVPP V11579 were referred to D. paradoxus, it was suggested that it might turn out to be "a second, closely related species of Dilong.[1]References References to Dilong's skeleton can be seen at [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5].↑ a b Xu X., Norell M.A. & Wang X.
