Description: David Whitney Building on Woodward Avenue across from Grand Circus Park, in Midtown Detroit, Michigan. Built in 1916 in the Renaissance Revival style, it is under restoration and being redeveloped as a hotel and condominiums (2012). The Grand Circus Park Station of the Detroit People Mover occupies the first two floors. This is a historic district contributing property to the Grand Circus Park Historic District.
