Description: Double row of sessile florets on a spikelet of Common Crowfoot on a lawn in suburban Pretoria. The feathery stigmas and boat-shaped and cream-coloured anthers are visible. The glumes have sideways awns, in addition to the downward-pointing awns of the palea and lemma.
