Description: The arms were granted 14 June 1974. They show in the upper left half the crest (dog) of the Margraves of Brandenburg-Bayreuth. The quartered arms of the Margraves was part of the old Neustadt an der Aisch district arms. The eagle is taken from the arms of the former district of Uffenheim as symbol of the imperial city of Windsheim, the pales from the arms of the House of Schwarzenberg are derived from the arms of the former district of Scheinfeld.
