Description: "Saguaro boot" held up next to saguaro cactus. The actual orientation of this preserved bird's nesting hole when it was in its original saguaro is the opposite of what is shown; the "toe" of the boot is where the bird tunneled down, not up. This boot is at the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden, and one of their volunteers is holding it up for me to photograph.
