Description: Pheromone trap for codling moth (Cydia pomonella). The pheromone (codlemone) is embedded in a red capsule placed in the middle of a cardboard plate covered with an adhesive. Male specimens of the coddling moth are attracted and eventually get stuck on the adhesive. The plate here was collected after two weeks where the plate was installed in a protective housing hanging in a pear tree in my garden close to Viborg, Denmark.
