Description: The monument at Croscombe This monument was put in place in the 1800s, apparently replacing an older version which had been there since the 1300s. It is heavily weathered (the rock type is oolite - a soft limestone variety) especially on the front right where it serves as a seat for the patrons of the adjacent Bull Terrier public house.
