Image: Coenagrionidae Wing(loz)
Description: Front wing of a Coenagrionidae, here a Variable Damselfly (Coenagrion pulchellum). Front and rear wings are, as with all damselflies, more or less the same. In contrast to the wings of dragonflies (Anisoptera) and demoiselles (Calopterygidae) the wing structure is less complex. The Pterostigma is small, the wings are petiolate, there are only two antenodals in front of the nodus. The image was digitally processed.
