NOTE: This Coat of Arms was documented for the first time several decades after the fall of the Second Bulgarian Empire under the rule of the Ottoman Empire and is known from a German roll of arms. Its use in Bulgaria during the reign of Tsar Ivan Shishman (1371-1395) and within Second Bulgarian Empire in general is not documented.
