Description: The coat of arms of William de Vesci (d. 1297), during the lifetime of his brother, John de Vesci (d. 1289). The blazon for this coat of arms is Or, a cross Sable, debruised by a label of five points Gules. William succeeded his brother, on the latter's death, and thus bore Or, a cross Sable. The source for the arms and blazons is Scotland's Historic Heraldry, by Bruce A. McAndrew, pages 72, 74.
