Description: Clarence's quaint business district, Clarence Hollow, is located along Main Street in the southeast corner of the town. One of the first areas of what is now Erie County to be settled, Clarence Hollow's roots can be traced back to 1799, when Asa Ransom built his home, grist mill, and sawmill a short distance west of where this photo was taken.
