Description: St Saviour's parish church, Forest Road, Colgate, West Sussex, seen from the east. The first place of worship on the site was a small chapel. It was incorporated into the present Gothic revival church, which was consecrated on 22 November 1871. On 9 September 1940 an enemy bomb exploded by the church gate, killing three members of the Auxiliary Fire Service who were returning from extinguishing fires in the forest caused by an earlier raid of incendiary bombs.
