Description: Chinese Crested Tern Thalasseus bernsteini in a Greater Crested Tern T. bergii colony on Tiedun Dao islet in the East China Sea off Zhejiang. OSU research is helping to restore Chinese Crested Terns, one of the world's most endangered seabirds. Researchers from OSU and Asia established a new breeding colony for the birds and attracted more than 40 to the island.
