Description: 1656 drawing of chest tomb and effigies of Sir Richard Verney (1563-1630) of Compton Verney and of his wife Margaret Greville (d.1631), then in the chancel of the old Church of Compton Verney, demolished in the 18th century and moved to the present Georgian chapel beside the Georgian mansion house, where it survives today. Monument by Nicholas Stone, master-mason to King Charles I.
