Description: Carn Meini/Menyn This tor has two names: Carn Meini means Cairn of the Stones, and Carn Menyn, Butter Cairn, which is thought to be the original one. Given that it is reputed to be the chief source of the bluestones used at Stonehenge, as well for countless local fenceposts and lintels, it is not surprising that the former name has also attached itself.
