Description: Capel Carmel, Moelfre Moelfre is rather unusual in that it has only one Nonconformist chapel, the Congregational Capel Carmel, and an Anglican chapel of ease. The Calvinist chapel and the parish church are both out in the countryside at Llangallo, a mile or more up a steep hill. Carmel dates from 1872 having been built on the site of an 1827 chapel. A vestry stands along side. Additional services in English are held in July and August for, as the old preachers used to say, "the benefit of our Inglish friends"
