Description: Burwell Bridge, seen from the southwest (upstream). The bridge carries Nebraska Highway 11 across the North Loup River at the northern edge of Burwell. The cantilevered beam bridge was built in 1940; it is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. At the time the picture was taken, the river was at an unusually high level.
