Description: Bradford Forster Square Station. View southward, towards buffer-stops. Ex-Midland Rly. terminus (from Shipley) of trains from Leeds (City), Skipton and main line from Hellifield and Carlisle/Morecambe/Heysham, also locals from Ilkley. The station was rebuilt in 1990 (slightly to the north, i.e. approximately where I was standing) and the local lines were electrified in 1994. In 1961 the local services were already being operated with DMUs.
