Description: Brachychiton acerifolius, the Illawarra flame tree, is a small tree in 7th Brigade Park. It is found planted near the carpark of the Kidspace playground and a single specimen has been planted by Somerset Creek. Brachychiton acerifolius is a large tree in subtropical rainforest but of far more modest size on poor, dry soils.
