Description: Accident at Darlington on 2nd February 1850. Steam locomotive boiler explosion, York Newcastle & Berwick Railway, Darlington, 2nd February 1850, three people died. Appears to be a Kitson long-boiler of around 1845 (note the staggered spokes), as supplied to the York and North Midland Railway.
