Description: Bodach an Stoir (The Old Man of Storr) The 160ft tall pinnacle stands below the 600ft cliffs of the Storr itself. It is a distinctive landmark of Trotternish and is a noted seamark as well. It was formed along with many other rock formations as the sedimentary rocks below the basalt gave way under the weight above them and huge sections of the basalt face slipped downwards in a series of landslides.
