Description: Building of the National Library of Spain (BNE) in Alcalá de Henares. Designed by architect Francisco Fernández Longoria, consists of six towers, to deposit books in more than 250 kilometers of shelving. Begun in 1988 on land donated by the University of Alcalá, and has had several extensions. It now houses much of the collection of the BNE, and has a reading room with 40 seats.
