Description: "Battle of Engravers," etching, by the British artist George Cruikshank. 215 mm x 295 mm. The etching was an illustration to Thomas Wilson's "A Catalogue Raisonné of the Select Collection of Engravers of an Amateur." (Plate 44). The print shows a mêlée, with three pairs of contestants squared off against each other. These include the well-known engravers: William Hogarth; Antoine Masson; William Woollett; J. J.
