Description: new Manly ferry, Baragoola performing her sea trials 11 August 1922. From Australian National Maritime Museum website: "This photograph depicts the Manly ferry SS BARAGOOLA performing speed trials near Fort Denison in Sydney. 'The Sydney Morning Herald' reported that the ferry went between Fort Denison and Bradleys Head and was tested both with and against the tide. There was an official luncheon held on board with a Mr E P Simpson, chairman of directors of Mort's Dock and Engineering Company Ltd, stating that the BARAGOOLA was the 42nd steamer built by the dock over a 35-year period."
