Description: Staircase balustrade in the main entry foyer of the Southgate-Lewis House [1]. R.C. Lambie (the builder) was famous for his elaborate woodwork and this balustrade is a very good example. The State of Texas 70th Legislature declared that this is "one of the finest staircases in all of Austin."[2]
