Description: The Bagh Caves are ten rock cut Buddhist caves – nine according to some – along the Baghani river in Dhar district of southwest Madhya Pradesh. Famed for their tempera murals on Jataka tales and Buddhist legends, they continue to degrade due to natural causes such as water seeping and mud slides. They are generally dated between 400 CE to 600 CE.
