Description: Backbarrow weirs In the background is the high and gnarly Backbarrow weir, which has been run in much higher water levels than seen here, at grade 5+. In the foreground is a much more runnable weir reached quickly after portaging the nasty weir on river left. In the low water level seen here, this is a bit of a bump down, but at higher levels develops a strong stopper river right, a tongue left of centre (to the visual right of the paddler seen here) and a hole on river left.
