Description: Australian Aboriginal shield. Photographed at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM) on 21-Feb-06. Legend reads: Shield (Darkur). North Queensland. Covering of softwood, with a large flat ovate shape. Used with the sword, number 20. The meaning of the painted decoration is now lost. Collected before 1934. Wrightson collection.
