Description: Ashton Villa — landmark villa and historic house museum in Galveston, southeast Texas. A circa 1859 Italianate style residence, that was one of the first brick buildings in Texas. It served as the local Confederate and then Federal military headquarters for Texas during the Civil War. On the National Register of Historic Places in Galveston.
