Description: Showing a hand-drawn map of the present site of the 1851 discovery of the fossilized bones of the Armley Hippo. This was found by brickyard workmen digging where the Armley Gyratory now is, in Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The shaded area marks the site where the brickfields and brick kiln were. The Armley Hippo is now displayed at Armley City Museum.
