Description: Built in 1864 as Alderman Newton's Boys School, it became the Girls school in 1920, and later the Prep school. The furthest section is the original school, with extensions along the left side. In 2012 the former playground was the location for Trench 3 of the dig to find the Greyfriars church (crossing where the trench widens) in the hope of finding Richard III's grave.
