Description: Pigmy Dartlet (Agriocnemis pygmaea) female (red form), a very small (less than 20mm long, 1-2mm thick) damselfly. The head, thorax and abdomen are dark brick red in color. Thorax has a broad, dorsal black band. Common in marshes, ponds, and sea shore. Darts among vegetation and flies very close to the ground. Distributed throughout the Oriental, Australian regions and Pacific islands. Taken at Burdwan, West Bengal, India.
