Description: Engraving 'after Agostino Brunias' (ca 1801) and formerly attributed to him, entitled A Negro Festival drawn from Nature in the Island of St Vincent. Engraved by Audinet. The work depicts apparently happy slaves dancing in fine clothes in a clearing, with a spread of exotic fruits from a large wicker hamper. In collection of National Maritime Museum, Greenwich.
