Description: Emblem of 64 Squadron, Royal Air Force. Its motto was "Tenax propositi" - "Firm of purpose". The badge is a scarabee, which is an Egyptian hieroglyphic and represents the squadron's association with Egypt. Following disbanding in 1919 the squadron war reestablished on 1 March 1936 at Heliopolis, Egypt, in response to the Abyssinian Crisis and fought there until being relocated to the UK in 1939. It was finally disbanded on 16 June 1967.
