Description: Louis McLane House on the NRHP since April 24, 1973, at 606 Market St., Wilmington, Delaware. Old building with remarkable history, especially of those who lived here, especial of Louis McLane, ambassador, cabinet member (under Jackson). Redone, worn down, redone again many times, so that it probably bears little resemblance to the original building, but the 3 dormers on the roof look very much like original drawings. 608 next door is also on the NRHP
