Description: The Finding of Jesus in the Temple Stained Glass Window at the Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City was installed in 1908 by F. X. Zettler of the House of Littler, Royal Bavarian Institute in Munich. It is the fifth in a set of five windows depicting the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary along the west side of the Cathedral. The window includes images of the four gospel writers and selected church fathers (clockwise from the top): St. Gregory, St. Matthew, St. Jerome, St. Mark, St. Augustine, St. Luke, St. Ambrose, and St. John. The window is a gift of Mrs. Mary Judge (1849-1908), widow of John Judge, an Irish immigrant who amassed a fortune at the Silver King Mine in Park City. After John's death in 1892, Mary took over the business and invested heavily in real estate. She built the Judge Building in Salt Lake City in 1908.
