Description: 49 Belgrave Square No. 49 was designed by Thomas Cubitt (who was behind the development of much of Belgravia) for Sidney Herbert in c1851. The octagonal porch was added by Mayhew and Knight in 1859. Grade II* listed. It is now the Argentine Embassy. The square was laid out from around 1826, with a detached mansion sited at each of the other three corners.
