Image: 3x2 millimeters of Spirogyra
Description: Isn't this rather pretty? Since I began this hobby, I've found it quite interesting to see what beauty there is to be found in things that we don't normally find very appealing. This is Spirogyra, a kind of algae. The form in which you'd normally find this is that yucky green scum that is floating on the top of stagnant water pond scum. This was taken using the 5x objective and the 10x eyepiece. This image covers a rectangle of approximately 3 by 1.8 millimeters.
