Description: 341-353 Main Street (c) 1902 M.H. Donnelly Building also called the Palace Saloon is a two-story commercial building with two bays and a false-front. When it was built for the brothers Donnelly in 1902, the first floor was a saloon and had offices upstairs. Until a fire in 2007, the building was sided in asbestos shingles but was subsequently restored to original condition. It has mansard roofs on the bay towers. The lower floor facade has been changed by the addition of short, modern windows above lower siding. It is frequently called the "furthest western bar in the conterminous United States." The Palace Saloon/Donnelly building is a contributing structure to the Ferndale Main Street Historic District.
