Description: Wreck of the Albert Pike Memorial Scottish Rite temple on Geary above Fillmore. It was built, and later occupied by Jim Jones’ Peoples Temple. The building was wrecked again during the 1989 earthquake and demolished. The adjoining synagogue was also rebuilt, but was destroyed by fire shortly before the 1989 disaster. The site is now occupied by a U.S. Postal Service office.
