Description: IWM caption : "Impressive sight presented by the guns of the flagship HMS NELSON as she ploughs through the North Sea. The nine 16" guns can smash anything afloat, while the UP's on the 16" turrets will look after the dive bombers". Comment : The UPs (Unrotated Projectile) were ant-aircraft rockets which proved unsuccessful and were soon removed.
