Description: 3rd rail electrification of the last remaining line in the Isle of Wight took place in 1967. Since then rolling stock has been former London Underground sets. The first batch of cars were built in 1923 and re-formed into 3 and 4-car sets on delivery to the Island. Southern Region designation was 4VEC and 3TIS latter to become Class 485 and 486. Seen at Sandown on a snowy 16 March 1985 is unit 486.036.
