Description: A shelter for open-air classes, this pavilion is part of the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo, an ecological habitat created for educational purposes. According to architect Jeanne Gang, the pavilion draws inspiration from the tortoise shell, as expressed by its laminated bent wood structure. An element of its sophisticated design is the way it frames a striking view of Chicago's central area.
