Ghostbusters: The Video Game facts for kids

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is a 2009 action-adventure video game based on the Ghostbusters franchise. It had Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Max von Sydow and Annie Potts returning from the movies to voice in the game, with Aykroyd and Ramis writing the game. It was remastered in 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and dedicated to Ramis' memory.

Plot

A recruit has been picked by the Ghostbusters to help them capture Slimer again at the Sedgewick Hotel.

In both the original and the remastered versions of the game, Terminal Reality's Infernal Engine allows for the Ghostbusters' Proton Stream to bend in real time, reacting as it did in the films.
The disembodied spirit of Ivo Shandor, prior to the character taking the Destructor Form called "The Architect", was the film Ghostbusters (1984) unseen antagonist, formally introduced as the game's protagonists' chief adversary.
