Gamewell is a town in Caldwell County, North Carolina, United States. The population was 4,051 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Hickory–Lenoir–Morganton Metropolitan Statistical Area.

History
Gamewell was incorporated as a town June 23, 1981.
Geography
Gamewell is located in southwestern Caldwell County. It is bordered on the northeast by the city of Lenoir, the county seat. U.S. Route 64 passes through the town, leading northeast into Lenoir and southwest 10 miles (16 km) to Morganton.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 8.1 square miles (21.0 km2), all land. Gamewell is located in the valley of Lower Creek, a southwestward-flowing tributary of the Catawba River.
