Frequency-Severity Indicator facts for kids
Safety and Health professionals use a variety of metrics and data in analyzing mishaps. Two widely-used metrics are the Mishap Frequency Rate (MFR) and Mishap Severity Rate (MSR). These are known more simply as Frequency Rate and Severity Rate, respectively.
Neither the MFR nor the MSR is an adequate bellwether of a company's safety and health record.
